Just in case people didn't know about this. If you buy large timber at a Bunnings, you can have it cut at least once for free. As much as I would love to own a track saw, this service has meant I cannot justify another tool to own and store!
I have never been charged for extra cuts but I always go when it is super quiet (7am or close to when they close, keeping in mind the timber section gets fairly understaffed close to closing time). As long as you are friendly and have the measurements and pieces ready to go, usually they don't mind doing multiple rips and getting paid with a thanks mate. I assume the till work to ring up $3.50 is not worth the effort for them!
There is also usually a large bin near the timber saws that have off cuts you can take for free.
Should I also mention that there is very convenient parking in the timber yard that is especially useful when it is raining ;)

The minimum speed to swap from nbn FTTC to FTTP is now 100/20 (was 250/25). 100/20 for FTTC to FTTP is now the same minimum speed as FTTN to FTTP. You can get 100/20 for $65-$75/month.

No you have to order nbn FTTP 100/20 or faster speed tier from a participating ISP.
What is the nbn NTD?
The nbn NTD is a Network Termination Device that gets wall mounted inside your home and plugs into the WAN port on your router.
Do I need a new router?
It is unlikely that you need to purchase a new router for 100/20 and 250/25.
To get the best results for 1000/50 you most likely need to purchase a new router. A router with a Gigabit WAN port alone is not enough to max out 1000/50. Ethernet cabling gives you the most consistent speeds. For the best Wi-Fi speeds you want the router, computer, mobile phone and so on to have Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7. What happens if I want to stay on nbn FTTC?
Nothing changes for now and you continue to use FTTC as normal.
These are quality sheets, never seen prices this low.
As it is a clearance item, there is only one color at this price. Still seeing good stock levels at many stores.
Was shopping around and found this- looks to be pretty good value. 100% offset account, redraw available with a $30 fee, min $100 withdrawal. No establishment fees nor monthly fees, loan preparation fees are at cost.

Exetel has updated their prices for the new financial year in response to NBNCo sucking more $$$ out of the end consumer. Deals are still pretty good compared to the last round, be it with a slight price rise on the high-end plans and more substantial rises on the lower plans.
You're considered a new customer after being away for 6 months.
I currently use them and find the service to be excellent. Consistently get 105Mbps on my 100/40 service.
